Gokaldas Exports Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned Manager - Sourcing (Fabric) to translate design briefs into fabric development plans and source performance knits with nominated mills.

You will manage sampling, lab dips, testing, negotiate costs and lead times, and build a bulk-ready fabric library. A strong network with knit mills and knowledge of PLM/ERP is essential for success.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in textile technology; knitting preferred.
• 10–15 years in knit fabric development, preferably in sportswear/athleisure.
• Experience with brand-nominated mills.

POSITION: MANAGER - SOURCING (FABRIC) - PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

• Translate design briefs and seasonal calendars into fabric development plans.
• Source and develop performance knits (jersey, interlock, pique, fleece, mesh, spacer) with nominated and new mills.
• Manage sampling, handlooms, lab dips and testing to meet development milestones.
• Negotiate development cost, MOQ and lead time; set up bulk-ready fabric.
• Build the knit fabric library and hand over approved fabrics to Bulk.
• Bring new technologies to the brand (recycled, moisture management, stretch).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's in Textile Technology (Knitting preferred); NIFT / textile PG a plus.
• 10–15 years in knit fabric development, with sportswear or athleisure brands.
• Experience working with brand-nominated mills.

• Capability to risk analysis the fabric qualities at the development stage to align with stakeholders.
• Testing standards for performance fabrics (wicking, stretch & recovery, pilling).
• Knowledge on PLM / ERP and development trackers in addition to testing knowledge.
