Job summary

Newtimes Group of Companies in Gurugram, Haryana invites an experienced professional to drive fabric sourcing and development from concept to bulk production. You will manage sourcing, approvals, testing, QA, and cost negotiations with mills, while ensuring customer requirements and compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Textile Technology or a related discipline.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience in fabric sourcing, development, or textile merchandising.
• Strong technical knowledge of woven and knitted fabrics, including dyeing, finishing, and printing processes.
• Hands-on experience in fabric development, approvals, testing, quality control, and issue resolution.
• Previous experience working in a buying office/buying house environment.
• Established network and knowledge of fabric mills across North India.
• Proven experience in fabric cost analysis and price negotiation.
• Good understanding of colour management, testing protocols, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage customers and suppliers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the fabric development process, from concept to bulk production.
• Manage fabric sourcing, development, approvals, testing, and quality assurance to ensure customer requirements are met.
