Job summary

Gokaldas Exports Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Manager/Senior Manager – Sourcing (Fabric) for bulk operations across Knits, Wovens and Denims. You will convert orders into fabric requirements, release POs on time and drive mill deliveries with focus on cost, quality, and timely payments.

The role requires 10–15 years in fabric sourcing, strong supplier negotiations, and experience with large-scale operations. MBA preferred, with comprehensive understanding of synthetic and natural fibres.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Textile Technology/Engineering; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years in fabric sourcing for apparel export with 3+ years leading a team.
• Expertise in Sportswear preferred.
• Exposure to Import suppliers and large-scale operations.
• Sound knowledge of synthetic and natural fibres.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bulk team across Knits, Wovens and Denims; set priorities and review weekly.

• Negotiate bulk price, MOQ and lead time across all suppliers globally.
• Manage fabric quality issues and claims with QA and suppliers.
• Track fabric liability, excess and leftover stock; drive reuse and liquidation.
• Report fabric OTD, cost and risk to DGM and production planning.
• Payment and reconciliation with suppliers.

• Convert the order book into fabric requirements and release POs on time.
• Drive mill delivery against cut dates; escape and resolve delays early.
• Negotiate bulk price, MOQ and lead time across all suppliers across globe.
• Manage fabric quality issues and claims with QA and suppliers.
• Track fabric liability, excess and leftover stock; drive reuse and liquidation.
• Report fabric OTD, cost and risk to the DGM and production planning.
• Payment and Reconciliation with the suppliers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
