Job summary

Limited is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Design Engineer to conduct solar PV system design and feasibility studies. You will handle rooftop, ground-mounted, and floating installations, prepare SLDs, BOMs, cable sizing, and electrical layouts for solar plants, and coordinate with PMC/PMU and clients.

The role requires knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office, DPR/feasibility report prep, and compliance with engineering standards; you will review tasks, perform data analysis, and engage with

Qualifications

• Experience with rooftop, ground-mounted and floating solar installations.
• Knowledge of engineering specifications and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Experience preparing DPRs and feasibility reports for solar projects.
• Experience handling PMC/PMU and third-party inspections for solar projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct primary and secondary research for renewable technologies.
• Perform site assessments, data collection and field evaluations.
• Design solar PV layouts for rooftop, ground-mounted and floating systems; select cables; prepare layouts, schematics and BOM.
• Prepare technical specifications and equipment sizing calculations.
• Develop designs with SLDs, conduit and wire scheduling, routing and equipment plans.
• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams; cable and short-circuit calculations; control panel schemes; UPS and battery sizing; electrical layouts for solar plants.
• Utilize monitoring tools to track performance of solar systems.
• Analyze data and prepare feasibility/DPR reports for solar plants.
• Interact with clients to understand their requirements.
• Review engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions.
• Interact with government, multilateral and bilateral clients.

Job Description:

• Conduct primary and secondary research in suitable technologies for the renewable sector.
• Conduct preliminary site assessments, data collections and on-field evaluations for renewable projects
• Designing of arrangements ofsolarpanel rooftop, ground mounted, FloatingSolarother various supported electrical equipment, selection of cable for plant including layout,schematic diagram and calculation of technical sizing, BOQ/BOM.
• Preparation of technical specifications preparation and equipment sizing calculations.
• Develop optimal design with SLD, conduit and wire scheduling, routing and equipment plans.
• Preparation and review of ‘SLD (Single Line Diagrams); Basic and detailed Engineering documents; Cable and short Circuit Calculation; Control and relay panel schemes, UPS and battery sizing calculations; Electrical Layouts forSolarpower Plant, Main Control room, Substation & Switchyard
• Utilize monitoring tools and software to track the performance ofsolarpower systems.
• Analyze data and prepare feasibility/DPR reports onsolarplants/parks
• Interacting with clients interpreting them and requirements.
• Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
• Handling the government, Multi-lateral and bilateral clients

Area of Expertise:

• Knowledge in Renewable Energy Consultancy Assignments such as Rooftop, Ground Mounted and Floatingsolar
