Capital Foods is seeking a Manager - Quality Assurance to lead QA across manufacturing facilities and 3P operations, developing vendors and managing audits.

You will oversee compliance with US FDA, FSSAI, BRCGS, Halal and other bodies, implement FSMS changes, and drive product safety and quality improvements.

The role focuses on risk assessment, specification management and continuous improvement through Kaizens and training.

• Cost of poor quality & wastage reduction: Develop metrics and track CoPQ across own and 3P units.
• Budgeting for the quality function (Capex and Opex) and ensuring costs stay within budget.
• Review consumer complaints on the portal; initiate root-cause analysis and provide timely training.
• Coordinate with government agencies and certifying bodies for audits and closure.
• Ensure vendor quality compliance and coordinate with 2P units for product quality and food safety.
• Ensure compliance with US FDA requirements.
• Guarantee licensing compliance for all manufacturing units including 2P.
• Maintain FSSAI licenses with required KB and listed product categories.
• Ensure plants comply with Regulatory requirements (Legal Metrology, US FDA Registration, etc.).
• Review USFDA requirements and coordinate for USFDA inspections.
• Assess plant performance via MIS/daily reports/inspection results; conduct visits to resolve major issues.
• Conduct reviews with QA and stakeholders to resolve concerns and guide resources.
• Implement new product/process changes in FSMS with validation, verification, and documentation.
• Review and approve Validation Protocols and Reports related to Quality & Food Safety.
• Identify and ensure inline product protection devices are in system.
• Liaise with external labs and verify testing protocols and results for actions.
• Map and develop team competency with road map and guide knowledge and individual training.
• Develop and upgrade people\'s knowledge on food safety through trainings.
• Develop and sustain Food Safety culture.
• Lead the team in problem solving and kaizens/initiatives.
• Take up projects to resolve issues in process and products.

Job Description

This job opportunity closely aligns with one of these key strategic pillars, which is Strengthening & Accelerating our Core Business. The role involves leading Capital Foods Quality Assurance for all manufacturing facilities; own units as well as 3p operations; developing & managing vendors, periodic audits, inspection and testing for Capital Foods products. Specification management, product and process risk assessment. QFS and compliance management for SAP Release Control, product manual and protocol set up.

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

• Cost of poor quality & wastage reduction : Develop evaluation metrics and tracking Cost of poor quality across own units and 3P units associated.
• Budgeting for the quality function (Capex and Opex) and ensuring the overall cost is with-in the budgeted.

Customer Service

• Reviewing & analyzing the Consumer complaint that is received at consumer portal. Initiating investigation & root cause analysis to prevent the repetitive complaints in the system. Supporting the team with timely training. Ensuring the implementation of the corrective action/Preventive action by timely review.
• Coordinating government agency & certifying bodies like FSSAI, EIA, FSSC, BRCGS, Halal etc for the Audit coordination & closure compliance.
• Ensuring Vendor quality compliances and coordinating with 2P units for product quality and food safety compliances.
• Ensuring compliance in line with USFDA requirements.

Internal Processes

• Ensuring the licensing compliance of all manufacturing units including 2P.
• Ensure FSSAI licenses for all units are updated with the required KOB and listed product categories.
• Responsible to ensure that plants are complying the Regulatory requirement in terms of Legal Metrology, USFDA Registration, etc.
• Reviewing the USFDA requirement, coordination & implementation for USFDA inspection at manufacturing unit.
• Assessing the Plant Performance on regular basis through MIS/Daily reports/Inspection results. To conduct Visits/Inspection for resolution of Major issues related product/system.
• Conducting reviews with quality and in coordination with stake holders for resolving the concerns and guiding team with resources.
• New Product/process changes should be implemented in FSMS system with proper validation, verification & documentation. To coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure QA related are closed on time and coordinating with concern stakeholders.
• To review and approve all Validation Protocols and Reports related to Quality & Food Safety.
• Responsible to identify & ensure that inline product protection devices are in system to ensure the quality & safety of product/system.
• Liaising with external labs and ensure testing as per protocols, verification of results and interpretation to take appropriate actions.

Innovation and Learning

• Mapping & Developing team competency with Road map and guiding team with knowledge and individual training.
• Responsible to develop, identify and upgrade people's knowledge on food safety requirements by providing internal/external trainings & resources.
• Responsible to develop and sustain Food Safety culture.
• Lead the team in problem solving and implementation of kaizens/initiatives.
• Taking up projects to resolve the issues in process and products.
