Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQ for CIVIL items.
• Quantity take off from drawings.
• Assist Commercial Managers for RFQ and Tenders.
• Prepare comparative statements from quotations.
• Prepare rate analyses for CIVIL items.
• Know market prices, vendors for CIVIL materials/equipment.
• Prepare PRs/POs and contracts; obtain approvals and follow up with vendors.
• Prepare monthly project reports as per company rules.
• Handle change orders: take-off, cost analysis, negotiation, and confirmation.
• Update BOQ per change orders.
• Process and obtain RA/Final bills and unit prices from contracts team.
• Reconcile free issue materials.
• Verify and negotiate contractor/supplier claims.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Prepare BOQ for CIVIL items
• Quantity take off from drawings.
• Assisting Commercial Managers for preparing RFQ and Tenders
• Prepare comparative statement based on received quotations
• Preparing Rate Analysis of CIVIL Items.
• Should have adequate knowledge on market price, makes, vendors of CIVIL materials and equipment.
• Preparation of Goods and Works requisition orders, purchase orders and contract, obtaining approvals from PM/PD, Commercial Managers and strong follow-up with vendors to place procurements in execution.
• Should prepare Monthly reports of the projects and update the same as per company rule.
• Handling Change orders: Quantity take-off, Cost analysis, Negotiation and Confirmation on Change Orders from vendors.
• Updating BOQ w.r.t change orders
• Checking, Processing and Obtaining Approval on Contractors/Suppliers RA Bill and Final bill Measurements and Unit price from Contracts Administrator, Commercial Manager, PM/PD.
• Re-conciliation of Free issue materials
• Verifying, Negotiating and obtaining confirmation on Contractors / Suppliers Claims.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

1. Candidate should an Engineering Graduate/ Diploma Civil Engineer with 10 to 15 years with extensive work experience in Quantity Surveying with a Construction company.

2. Candidate should be well conversant with the all aspects of building construction activity.

3. Candidate should have independently prepared and tracked MIS for at least 2 projects.

4. Candidate must have Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to details while handling cost control data. .
