Job summary

CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd is seeking an experienced Production Manager in Bengaluru to coordinate and control manufacturing processes, ensuring on-time delivery at optimal costs.

You will lead a unionized team, drive lean improvements, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role requires a 5+ year track record in production management within manufacturing, with exposure to precision cutting tools.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/production/industrial engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in production management in manufacturing; total exp not less than 15 years.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning; knowledge of SAP preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Kannada fluency required.
• Experience in managing unionized workmen.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure on-time, cost-optimised delivery.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust to meet demand.
• Ensure production meets high quality standards and specs.
• Lead and develop a team of production staff, including unionized workers.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment; resolve conflicts.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and productivity.
• Apply lean manufacturing to reduce waste and optimise resources.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance; conduct safety audits.
• Prepare and present regular production performance reports with KPIs.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered on time and at optimised cost.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand.
• Ensure that production meets highest quality standards and specifications.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, including unionized workmen.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Address and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise within the team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimize resources.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and documentation

PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in precision cutting tools and total experience should not be less than 15 years.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must know to speak fluent Kannada
• Experience in managing unionized workmen.
