Job summary

CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd is seeking a Quality Inspector to join its Bengaluru site. The role involves inspecting components, verifying dimensions with precision tools, and ensuring adherence to quality SOPs.

You will work across CNC grinding, machining, heat treatment, and coating stages to maintain high standards. Candidates should hold a Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering with 2–5 years of QA/QC experience in CNC tool manufacturing or related fields, and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2–5 years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in CNC cutting tool manufacturing or precision engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work-in-progress at checkpoints and perform final inspection.
• Verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other measuring gear.
• Enforce quality systems, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Perform incoming inspection of materials and components as per quality standards.
• Monitor CNC Tool Grinding, CNC Machining, Heat Treatment, and coating processes.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects work in progress at various checkpoints, including in-process inspection and final inspection.
• Verifies dimensions of parts against part print specifications using gauge blocks, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, Rockwell Hardness Tester, and other measuring equipment.
• Enforces quality systems, procedures, SOPs, and work instructions as established by Management.
• Utilizes standard measuring tools and equipment such as Micrometers, Calipers, Comparators, Indicators, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Profile Projectors, and Tool Maker's Microscopes.
• Performs incoming inspection of raw materials, purchased components, and outsourced processes as per quality requirements.
• Verifies critical cutting tool parameters such as diameter, runout, flute profile, helix angle, concentricity, corner radius, and overall geometry.
• Monitors process quality during CNC Tool Grinding, CNC Machining, Heat Treatment, and Coating operations.
• Maintains inspection records, test reports, calibration records, and quality documentation.
• Prepares quality reports, inspection summaries, trend analyses, and KPI reports for management review.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2-5 Years experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within CNC Cutting Tool Manufacturing, Precision Engineering, Tool Room, or Machining Industries.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of CNC Tool Grinding, CNC Machining, Heat Treatment, and PVD Coating processes will be preferred.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
