Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a seasoned Quality Leader to oversee GOEM plant quality indices, conduct audits, and drive improvements across manufacturing processes.

You will train GOEMs on technical aspects, manage benchmarking initiatives, and lead a cross-functional advisory team to optimize products and costs. This role emphasizes TPM, QMS, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee Quality Index of GOEM Plants with continuous assessments.
• Conduct quality audits at GOEMs, provide OFIs and implement best practices.
• Liaise between GOEMs & Powerol departments to ensure quality, productivity, cost and safety.
• Lead Goem Technology Advisory Team for product improvements and cost optimization.

Job description

• Purpose: Technical Product Support for GOEM in Manufacturing, Quality, Processes & Technical Support to Marketing and Product Portfolio Management & New Developments in Validations, Product & Performance Enhancements and Product Costing-Standardization & Enhancement Implementation, Feedback for Design & Build Improvements


• Key responsibilities:


• Oversee Quality Index of GOEM Plants with continuous Assessments, Overall Requirement based Trainings, Support and Quality Audit suggestions
  - Conduct quality audits at GOEMs and provide OFI (opportunity for improvement) and implement Bench Marked Best Industrial Practices
  - Conduct quality contest (Recognize and Reward GOEMs)
  - Liasoning between GOEMs & Powerol departments to ensure no loss of Quality-Productivity-Cost-Safety-Morale-Branding at GOEM end


• Provide support and train GOEMs on technical aspects, manufacturing systems & processes, Best manufacturing and Industrial practices, Genset quality Enhancement and GOEM Plant in-house quality management systems


• Guide and lead Core GOEM Technology Advisory Team for Improving/ Optimising the Products, monitoring and Implementing technology improvement needs and Customer needs


• Ensure implementation Improvements through Kaizens/OPL/Quality Alerts for customer irritant / warranty Cost reduction on issues / Defects related to manufacturing and Quality issues of GOEMs.


• Share Best Industrial - Manufacturing / Quality Practices and Manage Knowledge / Development among GOEMs


• Monitor and ensure common sourcing at all GOEMs - Effectiveness and Efficiency .Ensure Brand identity is stringently implemented, adopted and followed with respect to Aesthetics, Design, Drawings, Specifications and Specified Quality


• Oversee and monitor the preparation and updation of new product technical data sheets / marketing bulletins.
  -Ensure that bulletins are shared with GOEMs


• Enriching Sales Team with the Technical data/ Marketing Bulletins and information on our products and competitor's products and meeting dynamic customer needs - Life enriching Package development & Life cycle cost development.Oversee and monitor continuous benchmarking of the products to ensure added / desired features and performance based on market needs.


• Validate new products for DFM, performance, features additions as per customer desires/needs and benchmark data.Guide and lead CFT for Canopy development and Improvement for DFM, Cost and Foot print for new product development


• Implement all the Powerol New Projects and Initiatives at GOEM Plant Manufacturing and Supplies


• Analyse costing comparisons of the new products with respect to existing product and oversee implementation of new products after required validations

Experience

10 yrs preferably in Quality+Management

Industry Preferred
