Business research and analysis knowledge
- Thorough understanding of research processes, hypothesis-based thinking, scenario-based storytelling, quantitative modelling and qualitative analysis
- Accelerate research workflows while applying independent judgement and validation; in‑depth research capabilities and robust experience in industry, market, and competitive analysis; market sizing and benchmarking; and survey design and analysis
- Integrate primary research, stakeholder insights, and secondary data into coherent industry viewpoints
- Strong commitment and demonstrated track‑record of delivering projects on‑time, in‑budget, and aligned to expected outcomes
Consulting and advisory orientation
- Frame ambiguous industry issues or questions into structured research problems

- Drive discussions and agenda at leadership levels and present industry perspectives in external forums

Domain knowledge
- Expertise in or ability to distil the implications of macro‑economic or geo‑economic trends for the Indian tech industry or in‑depth knowledge of India’s technology sector across its core services
- Ability to interpret macroeconomic, geopolitical, and emerging technology shifts to assess industry implications or themes for thought leadership
Project ownership and learning agility
- Proven expertise in independently executing and managing projects
- Managing third‑party partners: consulting firms and research partners, survey vendors, sponsors
- Ability to operate effectively in an environment with fast‑changing prioritization and accept steep learning curves

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience
- High‑performing MBA or master’s graduate in fields of business management, strategy, economics, technology, or engineering from a reputed institution
- Minimum 5 years of prior experience in technology industry research, strategy consulting or thought leadership roles
- Extensive knowledge of major proprietary industry research databases, market intelligence tools, and data sources
- Excellent working skills with Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with creative representation of insights and effective storytelling, along with public speaking capabilities
- Understanding of research dissemination modalities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
