Job summary

Bptp in Gurugram is seeking a seasoned MEP QA/QC professional to lead quality assurance and control across high-rise and commercial real estate projects.

Role covers QA/QC planning, site inspections, ITPs, NCRs/CAPA, and coordination with contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with NBC, IS Codes, and project specs. 12–18 years of experience required; strong leadership and AutoCAD skills preferred.

Qualifications

• 12–18 years of experience in MEP QA/QC.
• Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use or large-scale real estate projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting and ELV systems.
• NBC, IS Codes and applicable quality standards knowledge.
• Expertise in QA/QC processes, ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs and CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor QA/QC plans for residential and commercial real estate projects.
• Review and approve ITPs, method statements and quality checklists.
• Ensure execution of MEP works per approved drawings and specs.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits; identify deviations and drive corrective actions.

Role & responsibilities

A. Quality Assurance & Quality Control

• Develop, implement and monitor MEP Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans for residential and commercial real estate projects.
• Ensure quality compliance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV and other MEP installations.
• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements and Quality Checklists.
• Ensure execution of MEP works as per approved Good for Construction (GFC) drawings and technical specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to identify deviations and ensure corrective actions.

B. Site Execution & Quality Monitoring

• Monitor quality of MEP installations at different stages of construction.
• Ensure proper installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, electrical panels, DG sets, transformers, HT/LT systems, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems.
• Ensure compliance with approved materials, makes, specifications and relevant standards.
• Coordinate with MEP contractors, consultants, project teams and vendors to resolve quality-related issues.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure adherence to project quality benchmarks.

C. Testing & Commissioning

• Ensure proper testing and commissioning of all MEP systems.
• Review and verify testing reports for electrical installations, HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection and other services.
• Ensure closure of observations before system handover.
• Monitor integrated testing and commissioning of MEP services.

D. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test certificates, checklists and material approval records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IS Codes, NBC, CPWD specifications, fire safety regulations and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and quality observation closures.
• Prepare periodic quality reports and present quality performance to management.

E. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with Project, Design, MEP Execution, Procurement, Consultants and Contractors for quality-related matters.
• Review MEP drawings and identify technical discrepancies or constructability issues.
• Conduct quality review meetings with contractors and project stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimise rework, defects and quality-related delays.

F. Handover & Defect Management

• Ensure quality inspection and snagging of MEP works before project handover.
• Verify as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties and testing documentation.
• Ensure timely closure of MEP-related snags and defects.
• Support facility management teams during project handover.

Preferred candidate profile

• 12 to 18 years of overall experience in MEP Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Relevant experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use or large-scale real estate projects.
• Strong experience in managing MEP quality at project sites and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting and ELV systems.
• Knowledge of NBC, relevant IS Codes and applicable quality standards.
• Expertise in QA/QC processes, ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs and CAPA.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning and MEP system integration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Strong coordination, analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
