Job summary

Tata Projects Limited in Mumbai seeks an experienced HVAC Design Engineer with 7-12 years of hands-on expertise to lead design for commercial, residential, IT parks, hotels, airports and other large-scale facilities. You will use AutoCAD, Navisworks and Autodesk ACC to develop robust systems and coordinate with architecture and other services.

The role emphasizes heat load calculations, tender support, BOQ preparation, and compliance with NBC/ASHRAE/IS codes, with a strong focus on space

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ Diploma with 7-12 years of work experience in HVAC Design.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design and calculations using software such as HAP or equivalent.
• Experience in tender estimation, BOQ preparation, and handling pre/post-bid technical queries.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, residential, IT parks, hotels, airports and large buildings.
• Coordinate with Architecture and other services and ensure design compliance with NBC/ASHRAE/IS codes.
• Review and approve TDS and drawings and design calculations; support space planning and shaft sizing.

Job description

• Strong knowledge of HVAC design and calculations, including heat load calculations using HAP or similar software.
• Hands-on experience in tender estimation, BOQ preparation, and handling pre/post-bid technical queries.
• Proficient in preparation of Design Basis Reports (DBR), scope documents, and assumptions & exclusions.
• Thorough understanding of HVAC standards and codes: NBC, ECBC, ASHRAE, ISHRAE, IS Codes, SMACNA, AHRI, BS, NFPA, etc.
• Experience in HVAC design for Commercial, Residential, IT Parks, Hotels, Airports, and large building projects.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk ACC, and coordination workflows.
• Capable of reviewing and approving TDS, drawings, and design calculations.
• Effective in multidisciplinary coordination with Architecture and other services.
• Proficient in space planning, shaft sizing, and providing civil work inputs related to HVAC.
• Knowledge of smoke management and pressurization systems.

Experience & Education:

• BE/BTech/ Diploma with 7-12 Years of work experience in HVAC Design.
