A leading manufacturing company in Pune is looking for an Associate MEP – HVAC & Utilities to oversee MEP projects. The candidate must have 8-10 years of experience in HVAC design and execution. Responsibilities include managing project trackers, conducting site visits, and ensuring safety compliance during project execution. Proficiency in MS Office, Auto CAD, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in HVAC system design and execution.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, IS Code, IEC code, NBC, NFPA and relevant building codes.
• Experience in executing, monitoring and handing over HVAC and Electrical services.
• Knowledge in HVAC design, review and evaluate DBR and design drawing.

Job description

Associate MEP – HVAC & Utilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding user requirements, collecting information, checking feasibility, and suggesting alternate solutions related to all MEP Works.

• Understanding the user requirement, collecting information, checking feasibility and suggesting alternate solutions related to all MEP Works.
• Stage 1 review of drawing and BOQ submitted consultant, ME/Plant team for further approval from MEP head.
• Knowledge of item rates based on market price of HVAC system.
• Initiate technical recommendations for vendor finalization.
• Arrange Kick Off meeting along with consultant, appointed vendors & plant team to start the project.
• Execution, monitoring & handover of HVAC, Utility Piping, FAPA System, STP, ETP, ZLD & Electrical services Works to ensure that the plans are executed within timelines to begin operation

MEP Project Execution

• Responsible to manage project tracker, supervise the agencies connected with MEP work, support the vendor for adherence to approved drawing, BOQ specifications and schedule, Quality Testing Checklist for material and procedure & Varroc civil/MEP standards; on-site technical training; complete the pending tasks.
• Adherence to Project tracker, generate weekly reports.
• Day to day complete supervision and control over the workmanship of different contractors and agencies connected with MEP & utility works
• Supervise and execute construction as per the approved drawing and BOQ specification with standard make & time schedule from vendor.
• Timely inspection of all inward material standard with support from local plant team as per Varroc Standard make list & finalized BOQ.
• Arrange for on-site feasible technical testing along with Plant team as per site requirement.
• Implementation and adherence to Quality Testing Checklist for material and procedure.
• Prepare snag list and coordinate with vendor to get done any pending work before issuing completion certificate.
• Final handover to plant team with all relevant documents like – As-Built drawing, materials O&M manual, test certificates of equipment, calibration certificates, NOC from Electrical Inspector & Fire Officer
• Yearly budgets prepare and tracking.

Coordination with External Agencies

• Conduct site visits of vendors and meeting with users to understand the requirements.
• Coordination with Plant Team on Shut Down of Plant for upgradation of Project.
• Ensure 100% safety of workers during execution of MEP Project.
• Validate the bill as per BOQ and PO against actual usage, maintain all the relevant documents and follow up with finance for payment as per PO; update the bill tracker
• To validate the bill as per BOQ & PO and actual site execution with proper measurement sheet & quality check.
• Ensuring of all supporting documents like JMR, standard make materials, DC with proper gate entry for billing process.
• Follow up with Finance team for vendor payment as per PO terms.

Work Experience
