Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. is seeking an experienced procurement professional with a strong track record in automotive commodity management.

The role requires hands-on experience in developing and commercially handling mechanical and electrical proprietary components, and leading supplier evaluations and RFQ processes. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in commodity management, exceptional negotiation, and the ability to drive quality improvements with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant commodity experience.
• Preferably Automotive Industry.

Responsibilities

• Development and commercial know-how of Mechanical Proprietary & Electrical Proprietary Components like – O-Ring, Oil Seals, Wiring Harness, Starter Motor, Alternator, Mechanical & Electrical Switches, Horn, Battery, Bearings, Bearing Shell, Air Cleaner, Filters, Rubber & Plastics etc
• Technically sound in manufacturing processes of mentioned commodities
• New projects Tooling/Capex estimation
• Capacity evaluation of suppliers
• Floating RFQ, Quote Synthesis, Technical Synthesis closures, DVP closures with suppliers/R&D
• Should have good knowledge of vendor database
• Capable enough to coordinate with the supplier and QA team for quality improvement
• Monitor Supplier performance to access ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
• Co-ordination with SQA team for sample//APQP/PPAP closures
• Assessment for new suppliers
• Negotiation with supplier and ability to bring customer delight at every step and every action.
