Job summary

Mahindra Group is seeking a Procurement/Commodity Manager in Mumbai to lead sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and commercial settlements across automotive and farm segments.

The role requires 4–7 years of relevant experience, a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Automobile, and strong analytical plus negotiation skills to drive value, risk management, and cost containment.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Automobile.
• 4 to 7 years experience in procurement/commodity management.
• Experience in automobile or farm sector preferred.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Commodity Management -Developing Sourcing Strategies, Supplier Selection & Assessment, Commercial settlement (Trims Commodity - Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Vacuum Forming, Mirror Assy, Fuel Tank , Sunshade Assy, Cabin Assy, Cabin Glasses, Stickers), Capex/investment settlement
• Managing Total Cost of ownership through Cost Negotiated Saving & Value Engineering
• Material cost Containment
• Supplier Risk Management & Mitigation (Associated with commodity, conversion, fire & safety etc)
• Capacity planning, Setting up structural review & de-bottleneck issues
• Benchmarking for Technology & cost
• Data Analytics & leverage technology for effective analysis
