Job summary

CheQ is seeking a sharp, execution-oriented Manager – Legal & Compliance to anchor regulatory and legal operations across Payments, UPI, Credit Cards, and Lending products. You will translate RBI, TRAI, and judicial requirements into actionable compliance programmes and work at the intersection of product, business, and regulators.

The role involves contract management, handling diverse litigation matters, drafting responses, and establishing a robust compliance framework.

Qualifications

• LLB from a recognised university.
• 2+ years of post-qualification experience in fintech, payments, or banking.
• Hands-on exposure to RBI regulations (PA Guidelines, Master Directions on Prepaid Payment Instruments, FEMA).
• Working knowledge of NPCI frameworks, UPI ecosystem, and card network operating rules.
• Prior experience handling judicial matters, including writ jurisdiction and Cyber Cell engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
