Job summary

Talent Leads HR is seeking a senior professional to oversee fixed assets accounting, insurance, inventories, and asset movements in Mumbai. You will manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, ensure FAR compliance, and coordinate with multiple teams for depreciation mapping and audit readiness.

The role requires 5+ years in fixed assets accounting (SAP), preferably in telecom, with CA/CMA/ICW qualifications.

Qualifications

• CA/CMA/ICW with 5+ years in Fixed Assets Accounting in SAP.
• Experience in telecom industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP PS module is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day to day fixed assets accounting operations and provide guidance to the team.
• Ensure timely creation of Internal Order (IO) / Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and budget allocation.
• Reconcile consumption bookings and capitalization processes.
• Coordinate with Technology, IT, FSD, and User teams for depreciation mapping.
• Conduct regular general ledger scrutiny to ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register (FAR) in line with Companies Act and Income Tax Act, aligned with SAP GL balances.
• Conduct quarterly/inventory verifications at warehouses and partner locations.
• Perform annual physical verification of fixed assets.
• Identify and reconcile differences with user teams to mitigate risk of loss or audits.
• Update insurers periodically for adequate risk coverage.
• Publish timely monthly and annual financial statements.
• Review and improve MIS as needed.
• Support audits (statutory, tax, internal, IFC) and closure processes.
• Participate in finance-driven projects and initiatives.

To oversee day to day accounting of Fixed Assets, Insurance, Inventories and Assets movement, ageing, physical verification, reconciliation and to ensure timely and accurate Month end / Quarter end / Year end closing and reporting

What youll bring to the team:

• Supervise day-to-day fixed assets accounting operations and provide guidance on accounting issues to the team.
• Ensure timely creation of Internal Order (IO) / Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and budget allocation.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of consumption booking and capitalization processes.
• Coordinate with Technology, IT, FSD, and User teams to understand the nature of assets for depreciation mapping.
• Conduct regular general ledger (GL) scrutiny to mitigate the risk of inaccurate financial reporting.
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register (FAR) in compliance with Companies Act and Income Tax Act, ensuring alignment with SAP GL balances.
• Conduct quarterly/periodic inventory verifications at warehouses and partner locations.
• Perform physical verification of fixed assets annually.
• Identify and reconcile differences with user teams to mitigate risks of loss, pilferage, and audit issues.
• Ensure periodic data updates with insurers to maintain adequate risk coverage.
• Publish timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
• Review and improve existing Management Information Systems (MIS) as needed.
• Ensure smooth closure of all audits, including statutory, tax, internal audits, and IFC certification.
• Actively participate in projects and key initiatives from a finance perspective.

What all qualifications do we expect:

We're looking for someone with a decent educational background.

• Education requirements: CA/CMA/ICW with at least 5 years+ experience in Fixed Assets Accounting in SAP environment. Knowledge of PS module of SAP will be added advantage
• Experience: 5+ Years of experience preferably in the telecommunications industry.
