Fixed Assets and Billing Accounting
- Ensure accurate asset lifecycle management, timely billing, and effective receivables monitoring while supporting business partners with reporting and analysis.
- Manage the end-to-end fixed assets lifecycle including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and reconciliations.
- 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience in fixed assets accounting, billing/AR, accounting role.
- Experience with financial accounting systems and ERP platforms such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Reconcile AR sub-ledger balances to the general ledger.
- Assist with month-end AR close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare aging reports and analysis for management review.
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead our Fixed Assets, Billing, and Accounting functions based in Mumbai. In this role, you will serve as the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring the integrity of our asset registers and the precision of our billing cycles. You will work closely with cross-functional department heads, internal audit teams, and senior leadership to streamline capital expenditure tracking and revenue recognition processes. By maintaining rigorous accounting standards and optimizing billing workflows, you will directly influence the companys cash flow accuracy, regulatory compliance, and overall financial health, providing the data-driven insights necessary for strategic business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, and physical verification to ensure accurate reporting of company assets.
- Oversee complex billing operations, ensuring timely and error-free invoicing to clients to maintain healthy accounts receivable cycles.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, to provide a clear view of the organization’s financial position.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to audit financial processes, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to statutory accounting standards and tax regulations, mitigating financial risk and ensuring seamless audit outcomes.
Required Skillset
- Possess 4 to 13 years of demonstrated expertise in managing fixed asset registers and high-volume billing environments within a corporate finance setting.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel, enabling the automation of accounting workflows and complex data analysis.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaborative decision-making.
- Maintain a high degree of professional integrity and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial statements under tight deadlines.
- Hold a professional accounting qualification such as CA, ICWA, or an MBA in Finance, providing a solid theoretical foundation for complex accounting challenges.
- Show adaptability in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment in Mumbai, balancing independent task management with team-oriented project goals.
