Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an experienced Learning & Development leader with 12-15 years in the IT services domain. The role focuses on partnering with Business Units to enable capability building and employee upskilling, designing role-based learning journeys, and driving pro-active learning initiatives.

You will report on training metrics and collaborate with Academy Teams and external partners to deliver programs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Business Units to enable capability building and employee upskilling based on business needs
• Identify training needs annually and validate quarterly with Business leadership
• Design learning journeys by role and skill, collaborating with Academy Teams and external partners
• Leverage business analytics to track training impact and dashboards for leadership
• Lead awareness initiatives through town halls and employee forums to promote L&D programs
• Represent L&D in internal, external, and client audits and stay ahead of industry trends

Area(s) of responsibility

Experience-

• 12-15 years of total experience in L&D domain, in IT Services organization, with good understanding of technology landscape
• Person with prior experience/understanding of working with the business units and leadership on understanding the capability development requirements and lead the initiatives for the business would be preferred.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• • Learning Partner for a Business Unit: Responsible to partner with Business to enable capability building / employee upskilling based on the business needs, client requirement and employees needs, this will include the following:
    1. Conduct training needs identification exercise every year- re-validate the same every quarter with Business
    2. Analyze business structure, skilling needs and work out a capability development strategy for respective business
    3. Work closely with Business SPOCs to understand business goals, challenges & suggest solution from Learning perspective
    4. Design the role, skill learning journey for employees
    5. Effective utilization of business analytics
    6. Enable execution of training programs for that unit in collaboration with Academy Teams/External partners
    7. Understand Pro-active skilling needs of business & launch programs/initiatives to enable up-skilling proactively
    8. Report monthly dashboards to Business on training outlook of the function
    9. Lead employee awareness on various L&D initiatives/process/programs for the Unit through Town Halls, Employee forums etc.
    10. Ensure completion/penetration of all L&D initiatives for the Business Unit
    11. Monthly governance with the leadership.
    12. Exploring trends in L&D and bring best practices
    13. Represent L&D in internal, external and client audits

Key Skills/Competence (expected Skill level- Advanced)

Must have Skills: L&D domain knowledge, Stakeholder Management &, Communication & Presentation Skills, Analytics & data reporting, Resourcefulness, understanding of learning platforms and learning technologies.
