Job summary

Qualifications

• Site safety monitoring and corporate coordination.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HSE compliance across highway O&M projects, including routine maintenance and road repairs.
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, safety plans, and guidelines per statutory requirements.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across sites.
• Ensure traffic safety, work-zone safety, signage, barricading, and PPE compliance.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with HSE teams, O&M personnel, authorities, and stakeholders on safety issues.
• Monitor HSE performance via MIS, dashboards, incident reports, and documentation.
• Conduct safety trainings and periodic reviews of HSE performance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental requirements and emergency plans.

Role Purpose

To monitor and ensure HSE compliance across highway O&M projects, implement safety standards, and minimize risks associated with highway operations, maintenance, and emergency response activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor HSE compliance across highway O&M projects, including routine maintenance, road repairs, traffic management, and emergency response.
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, safety plans, and guidelines in line with applicable statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across project sites.
• Ensure implementation of traffic safety measures, work-zone safety, road signage, barricading, and PPE requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with project HSE teams, O&M personnel, authorities, and other stakeholders to address safety-related issues.
• Monitor HSE performance through MIS, dashboards, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct safety training, awareness programmes, and periodic reviews of HSE performance across projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements, waste management practices, and emergency preparedness plans.

Educational Qualification

B.E./B. Tech or Diploma in Engineering with a relevant HSE/Safety qualification preferred.

Experience

Relevant experience in HSE management for Highway / Expressway Operations & Maintenance projects, including site safety monitoring and corporate-level coordination.
