Job summary

Heft Energy in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, seeks an experienced HSE professional to develop and implement corporate HSE policies, procedures and standards. The role ensures compliance with statutory safety regulations and environmental norms, and conducts audits, inspections and management reviews.

You will identify hazards, conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures, investigate incidents with corrective actions, analyze leading and lagging indicators, and report to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate HSE policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and environmental norms
• Conduct HSE audits, inspections and management reviews.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety assessments
• Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures
• Investigate incidents/accidents and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions
• Analyze leading and lagging indicators and report to leadership.
• Support project mobilization, risk assessments and HSE planning.
• Facilitate HSE training, awareness programs and leadership engagement.
• Promote continual improvement and sustainability initiatives
• Oversee contractor HSE performance and competency requirements
• Maintain HSE documentation, records and compliance reports
• Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure safe execution of activities
• Monitor environmental compliance including waste management and pollution control
• Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and culture Role & responsibilities
