Job summary

GMR Group is seeking an experienced professional to design review and execute civil and interior finishes across high-end projects in Hyderabad. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders, lead the main contractor, and ensure safety, quality, and timely completion within budget.

The role requires a strong background in finishes and interior works, with extensive experience in managing large teams and complex interfaces across architectural elements, FF&E, and multi-discipline coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Diploma in Civil.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in building projects.
• Minimum 5 years in finishes and interior works including hotels, residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to main contractor and project teams to meet time and budget.
• Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and other services for interior works.
• Monitor project progress, review documentation, and resolve clashes to avoid delays.
• Develop and implement SOPs, value engineering proposals, and project phasing.
• Ensure timely approvals and stakeholder concurrence to meet customer satisfaction.

JOB PURPOSE

Design review and execution of Civil and Interior finishes works in coordination with other stakeholders and ensuring implementation of the same with highest safety & quality standards within specified timelines and cost.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Contractor or Vendor Management

• Provide Leadership to the Main Contractor ,perform as per the project plans both in terms of Time and Budget. Guide construction team to achieve required result, ensuring all the clashes are resolved in time and there is no delay to Construction.
• Provide leadership in proper Monitoring of Project and deploy strong review mechanism as per project manual,

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Coordination with various contractors for proper execution and flow of work
• Check on the Project Critical Path
• Checking of GFC drgs. for any ambiguity
• Coordination of services & utility includes HVAC, Electrical , Mechanical etc. for the Interior works
• Coordination with various contractors for proper execution and flow of work

Change Management / Value Engineering / Contract Management

• Guide team to develop value engineering proposals.
• Guide team to ensure all project interfaces wrt engineering, procurement and construction is resolved with Operations and Maintenance Departments.
• Provide leadership in developing project phasing.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• knowledge of Architectural/interior finishes, lighting, artwork, signage, color and materials to carryout design intent.
• Knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E). Produce Sample and mood boards if required by the management.

Documentation Management

• Ensuring a strong documentation mechanism so that all project data is available in a click of button.

Documentation of project data/ records

Safety, Quality and Environment

• Following and ensuring follow-up of the set safety, quality and environment standards.

Experience of all types of paints, polish etc. on various surfaces. Types of high-end stone, wood etc. used for interior works.

Experience of different types of false ceiling and finishes on walls, floors etc

Stakeholder Management

• Ensure all stakeholder concurrence or approval is taken to make sure all issues are resolved within the required timelines.

Ensure proper mechanism for timely resolution and approvals ensure to meet customer satisfaction.

Interaction with cross functional team members.

Team Development

• Ensure Employee engagement. Identifying training needs. Training the available team to perform the works as per the laid down procedures.
• Develop and implement SOPs, documentation and share best practices.

Efficient and trained team which is dependable to achieve the stated results and creating great place to work

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

• Periodic interactions with Customer (Airlines, AAI, ATC)
• All the contractors, sub-contractors and vendors.
• All external auditors

• Ensure timely communication to contractor / sub-contractor / vender and complete their billing process within time lines.

• Will handle work over 200 Cr.

OTHER DIMENSIONS

• Project Management Team / PMC – 12 No’s
• Handling of Contractors and their manpower strength of 300-500.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Diploma in Civil

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 12 year experience of working in building Projects.
• Minimum 5 years should be in Finishes and Interior works.
• Should have relevant experience in Finishes and Interior works in different building Projects & Include Hotels, residential and commercial in project types.
