Job summary

GMR Group is seeking an Associate Manager (Finishes) to assist the Finishes Manager in overseeing high-end finishes projects. You will coordinate with the team, manage timelines, budgets, and safety, and ensure finishes meet quality standards on site.

The role reports to VP - Project Execution and requires 5–7 years of relevant experience in villas, farms, hotels or corporate interiors. Diploma in Architecture or Civil Engineering is required, with a strong focus on coordination and execution.

JOB PURPOSE

The Associate Manager (Finishes) assists the finishes Manager in overseeing and executing finishes works projects. This role involves supporting management, coordinating with team members, and ensuring projects meet quality, budget, schedule time and safety standards. The Associate Manager also acts as a liaison between the engineering team and the Manager, facilitating smooth operations and communication.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and overseeing projects
• Assist in conceptualize projects based on briefings provided by the user (HOD / manager).
• Assist manager in develop preliminary design and project budget
• Ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Support the Manager in supervising and guiding the engineering team.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Assist in planning various stages of project, develop progress reporting mechanism
• Assign tasks to team members and monitor progress.
• Conduct regular check-ins with the team to address any issues or roadblocks.
• Ensure the accuracy of implementing the technical designs, drawings, and specifications on site.
• Understand and advise the vendors for work sequence to catch the schedules
• Construction supervision of all projects finishing works like all suspended Ceilings, floor finishes, Wall finishes, Partitions, Cladding, Special architecture / interior features, furniture, Art work, Toilets and other interface works as per the quality parameters met by the vendor.
• Assist in monitor the progress, track the deliverables, report early signs of probable delays.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant standards and regulations.
• Measurement verification of vendor’s, payment requests, running account bills.
• Assist in preparing detailed project reports for senior management
• Participate in safety training sessions and implement
• Assisting manager in handing over complete deliverables
• Contract Closure: Assist manager in procurement and Contract team in closing out the contracts
• Understand latest practices, products/systems in the industry and implementation.

Key Performance Indicators

• On time completion of design development
• Approval for implementation of the project
• Project quality test reports
• On-time completion of the project within +/- 5% of the budget
• Acceptance by Client/operation team, stabilization of system for maximum output as per the service levels, contract closure.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma in Architecture / Civil Engineering.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

5-7 years of experience in high end residential (Villa / Farm houses) construction & Interior works / 5 or 7 star hotel construction & interior works, Corporate Guest house, corporate office interior works experience
