Star Worldwide Group is seeking a Sr. Manager Fine Arts to lead end-to-end fine arts projects, including planning, artwork handling, transportation, installation and de-installation.

You will coordinate with curators, galleries, museums and artists to ensure flawless execution of exhibitions and related events. Ideal candidates will have 8–15 years in Fine Arts or related industries, strong leadership, budgeting and stakeholder management skills.

  • Lead multiple Fine Arts projects from planning through final execution and closure.

  • Manage clients and key stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics including transport, storage and site movement.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost estimates; optimize resources.
  • Lead, mentor and supervise Fine Arts project teams; ensure safety and quality.
  • Identify and manage specialized vendors and service partners.
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting; track performance and feedback.
  • Support business development by fostering relationships in the Fine Arts ecosystem.

Role Overview

The Sr. Manager Fine Arts will be responsible for managing and executing end-to-end Fine Arts projects and exhibition-related assignments, including project planning, artwork handling, transportation, installation, de-installation, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, budgeting and team leadership.

The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to the Fine Arts, Art Logistics, Gallery, Museum, Exhibition, Art Handling or Cultural Events industry and possess the ability to manage high-value and sensitive artworks with exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
1. Fine Arts Project Management
  • Lead and manage multiple Fine Arts projects from initial planning through final execution and closure.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, resource requirements and execution strategies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve operational challenges.
2. Exhibition Planning & Execution
  • Plan and coordinate Fine Arts exhibitions, art shows, installations and related projects.
  • Coordinate artwork movement, receiving, unpacking, positioning, installation and de-installation.
  • Work closely with curators, galleries, artists, museums, exhibition organizers and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure exhibition layouts and artwork placement are executed as per approved plans.
3. Art Handling & Installation
  • Oversee professional handling, packing, transportation, installation and de-installation of artworks.
  • Ensure appropriate handling procedures are followed for paintings, sculptures, antiques, collectibles and other high-value/art-sensitive items.
  • Ensure artwork safety, security, preservation and condition requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate condition reporting, documentation and movement records wherever required.
4. Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary point of coordination for clients and key project stakeholders.
  • Liaise with artists, curators, galleries, museums, collectors, sponsors, exhibition organizers and vendors.
  • Ensure timely communication, approvals, updates and issue resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
5. Logistics & Operations
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics including transportation, storage, site movement, installation and de-installation.
  • Coordinate with internal operations teams, transporters, art handlers, packers, vendors and site teams.
  • Plan manpower, vehicles, equipment and other resources required for project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security and artwork-handling standards.
6. Budget & Cost Management
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure effective utilization of resources.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, costing and commercial requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising artwork safety or service quality.
7. Team Leadership
  • Lead, supervise and mentor Fine Arts project and operations teams.
  • Allocate responsibilities and ensure effective utilization of manpower.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and provide operational guidance to team members.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety and quality.
8. Vendor & Partner Management
  • Identify, coordinate and manage specialized Fine Arts vendors and service partners.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities, service quality and project performance.
  • Negotiate and coordinate commercial and operational requirements with vendors.
  • Ensure vendors follow required artwork handling and safety standards.
9. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain complete project documentation including project plans, budgets, artwork inventories, condition reports, movement records and completion reports.
  • Prepare project status reports and post-project reviews.
  • Track project performance, challenges, client feedback and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of artwork movement and project activities.
10. Business Development Support
  • Support the Fine Arts leadership team in identifying new business opportunities.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits and project discussions.
  • Assist in preparing project proposals, costing, presentations and operational solutions.
  • Develop relationships within the Fine Arts, Gallery, Museum, Exhibition and Art Logistics ecosystem.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 8-15 years of relevant experience in Fine Arts, Art Logistics, Art Handling, Exhibition Management, Gallery, Museum, Art Projects or related industries.
  • Proven experience managing Fine Arts projects, exhibitions or specialized art logistics assignments.
  • Strong understanding of artwork handling, packing, transportation, installation and de-installation.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with tight timelines.
  • Strong project management, planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent client management and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage project budgets, resources and operational costs.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard project management tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive and high-value projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts, Art History, Museum Studies, Exhibition Management, Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with galleries, museums, collectors, artists, curators or international exhibition organizations.
  • Exposure to international Fine Arts logistics and cross-border artwork movement will be an advantage.
  • Strong network within the Fine Arts, Gallery, Museum, Exhibition or Art Logistics community.
  • Knowledge of artwork preservation, security, insurance and condition-reporting practices.
  • Exposure to modern exhibition technologies, multimedia installations or immersive art experiences will be an added advantage.
