Csdirekt in India invites an experienced Senior Manager / General Manager – Projects to lead government experiential projects from concept to completion, overseeing design, engineering, fabrication and on-site execution.

You will plan, monitor budgets, manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with stakeholders, ensure safety and quality, and leverage digital tools for planning and visualization. This role requires 8+ years in PM and 4+ years on government projects.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in project management for large-scale experiential projects (museums/exhibitions/EPC).
  • 4+ years of experience on government projects, museums, or heritage installations.
  • Bachelor/Master in Architecture/Engineering/Design; MBA/PM certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage multiple experiential projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure on-ground execution aligns with design intent and technical specs.

About the role

Role OverviewThe GM Projects – Government Experiential Projects role will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing experiential and museum projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.The role requires a professional with strong project management capabilities, technical understanding, vendor coordination experience, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across design, engineering, fabrication, and on-site execution for government and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage multiple experiential projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within approved scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop detailed project plans, execution strategies, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation frameworks.
  • Ensure on-ground execution aligns with approved design intent, technical specifications, and client expectations.
  • Monitor project progress regularly, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery timelines.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities through effective vendor management and efficient resource utilization.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including designers, engineers, architects, creatives, production teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained across all project deliverables including fabrication, installation, and final execution.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews, inspections, and site audits to ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and government stakeholders to provide project updates, progress reports, and review presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and contractual guidelines across project sites.
  • Leverage technology tools and digital platforms to improve project planning, visualization, and execution efficiency.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and closure meetings, documenting key learnings and improvement areas for future projects.
  • Maintain strong coordination between project teams and leadership to ensure consistent delivery standards across projects.
What you will do

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Min 8+ years of experience in project management, project execution, or operations, preferably in managing large-scale experiential projects, museums, exhibitions, EPC, events, or turnkey infrastructure projects, ,
  • Min 4+ years of experience working on government projects, museums, heritage installations, or experiential infrastructure projects will be highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following fields: Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Design / Exhibition Design or any related discipline, MBA, Project Management or Certification will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent leadership and team coordination abilities across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong vendor management and procurement coordination skills.
  • Budgeting, cost control, and financial planning capabilities.
  • Problem-solving and risk management expertise in complex project environments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelines.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-driven tools, digital visualization, or technology-based project workflows relevant to experiential design.
