Role Overview
Software Engineering Manager leading a full‑stack engineering team for SailPoint’s flagship on‑premises solution, IdentityIQ (IIQ). Responsible for core feature development and platform modernization, overseeing development and QA processes, ensuring rigorous verification, automated testing and seamless patch release deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a high‑performing full‑stack engineering team focused on IdentityIQ product and feature development.
- Drive execution: oversee day‑to‑day feature development, platform modernization, and technical debt reduction within an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Product Management to define clear priorities, manage resource allocation, and plan key projects.
- Identify, scope, prioritize, track, and report on deliverables and milestones, managing risks and issues for major and patch releases.
- Champion software quality by overseeing test automation efforts (e.g., Cypress) and ensuring compliance with modern software accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Foster a culture of technical rigor, deep ownership, and continuous improvement across both Dev and QA disciplines.

Qualifications
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading and managing product feature engineering teams.
- Results‑focused track record within an Agile software development lifecycle.
- Strong foundational understanding of software development, particularly Java, and modern front‑end architectures.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, passion for continuous improvement and coaching engineers.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and cross‑functional communication skills.
- Ability to rapidly pick up new technologies, understand complex codebases, and drive technical decision‑making.
- Proactive, flexible and highly collaborative “people person.”
- Nice to have: experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) or zero‑trust architectures, policy engines, RBAC/ABAC, or real‑time authorization.
- Familiarity with integrating with enterprise platforms and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes.
- Knowledge of software accessibility (WCAG), auditability, compliance, and security controls.
