Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Bengaluru seeks a senior Certification leader to direct Electrical and Software Certification programs, manage risk, budgets and schedules across multiple projects. You will drive cross‑functional collaboration, mentor engineers, and align strategy with customers and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 12–15 years in electronics development and 6–8 years in management, with a relevant degree and experience in aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in electronics product development and qualification testing.
• 6–8 years in project and people management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent, with aerospace standards experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and managerial direction to the Certification team specialized in Electrical discipline supporting multiple Collins SBU’s with cross-functional teams.
• Manages, develops and motivates the team of engineers on Electrical Certification, Software Certification, and Qualification Testing.
• Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports.
• Accounts for project planning, budget, schedules and performance standards for multiple projects.
• Manages program risks and develops mitigation plans.
• Performs resource planning, analyzes hiring requirements and metrics to influence team strategy.
• Drives competency assessment, training and performance discussions.
• Drives process excellence and continuous improvements and ensures compliance.
• Leads departmental and organizational initiatives.
• Explores and drives growth opportunities for test equipment.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

or equivalent

RTCA DO-160, DO-254 and DO-178 standards experience

Qualifications – Required

• 12–15 years of relevant experience in electronics product development & qualification testing.
• At least 6–8 years of experience in project and people management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications – Preferred

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with hands‑on experience with RTCA DO‑160, DO‑254 and DO‑178 standards for airborne equipment.
