Job Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and managerial direction to the Certification team specialized in Electrical discipline supporting multiple Collins SBU’s with cross‑functional teams.
- Manages, develops and motivates the team of experienced engineers on Electrical Certification, Software Certification, and Qualification Testing.
- Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports.
- Accountable for project planning, developing and administering budget, schedules and performance standards for multiple projects.
- Accountable for managing program risks and developing mitigation plans.
- Performs resource planning, analyzes hiring requirements, metrics and trends to influence team strategy and performance.
- Performs competency assessment, arranges training and performance discussions.
- Drives process excellence, continuous improvements and ensures compliance.
- Leads departmental and organizational initiatives.
- Explores and drives strategic growth opportunities for test equipment.
Qualifications – Required
- 12–15 years of relevant experience in electronics product development & qualification testing.
- At least 6–8 years of experience in project and people management.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
Qualifications – Preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with hands‑on experience with RTCA DO‑160, DO‑254 and DO‑178 standards for airborne equipment.
