Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead the execution of electrical works in thermal power plant projects. You will supervise installation, testing, commissioning, ensure compliance with schedules, technical specs, and safety standards on site.

The role requires coordinating with engineering, procurement, contractors, consultants and site teams; managing EPC contractors and vendors; reviewing drawings and reports; and driving timely handover and quality in all

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 6-12 years of relevant electrical project experience.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Project Execution

• Execute electrical project activities in Thermal Power Plant projects.
• Monitor installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, technical specifications, and safety standards.

Electrical Systems Management

• Oversee installation and commissioning of:
  • Generators
  • Transformers
  • Switchgear (HT/LT)
  • GIS/AIS Switchyards
  • Bus Ducts
  • Motors and MCCs
  • UPS, Battery Systems & Chargers
  • Electrical Protection Systems
  • Plant Lighting Systems
  • Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems

Testing & Commissioning

• Review and execute testing procedures and commissioning plans.
• Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with OEMs and consultants during equipment testing.
• Ensure successful synchronization and system integration activities.

Contract & Vendor Management

• Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Review contractor bills and certify work completion.
• Monitor contract compliance, progress, and performance.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical discussions and issue resolution.

Planning & Documentation

• Prepare project schedules and progress reports.
• Review engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Ensure timely submission of reports, MIS, and project documentation.
• Facilitate punch point closure and project handover activities.

Safety & Quality

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Implement quality control procedures during execution.
• Conduct risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Promote safe work practices at project sites.

Qualifications

Diploma, B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
