Responsibilities

• Execute electrical project activities in Thermal Power Plant projects.
• Monitor installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, technical specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
• Track project progress and resolve technical issues during execution.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of generators, transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS switchyards, bus ducts, motors and MCCs, UPS, battery systems & chargers, electrical protection systems, plant lighting, earthing & lightning protection.
• Review and execute testing procedures and commissioning plans; coordinate with OEMs and consultants; ensure synchronization and system integration.
• Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors; review contractor bills; monitor progress and performance; coordinate with vendors for discussions and issue resolution.
• Prepare project schedules and progress reports; review engineering drawings and documents; ensure timely submission of MIS and project documentation; support punch point closure and handover.

Project Execution

• Execute electrical project activities in Thermal Power Plant projects.

  • Plant Lighting Systems
  • Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems

Testing & Commissioning

• Review and execute testing procedures and commissioning plans.
• Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with OEMs and consultants during equipment testing.
• Ensure successful synchronization and system integration activities.

Contract & Vendor Management

• Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Review contractor bills and certify work completion.
• Monitor contract compliance, progress, and performance.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical discussions and issue resolution.

Planning & Documentation

• Prepare project schedules and progress reports.
• Review engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Ensure timely submission of reports, MIS, and project documentation.
• Facilitate punch point closure and project handover activities.

Safety & Quality

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Implement quality control procedures during execution.
• Conduct risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Promote safe work practices at project sites.

Qualifications

Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
