Associate Manager - Pharmacy Supply Chain

Associate Manager - Pharmacy Supply Chain is responsible for managing and coordinating pharmacy supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, vendor coordination, stock monitoring, and distribution of pharmaceutical products and medical consumables. The role ensures uninterrupted medicine availability, optimizes inventory levels, maintains compliance with pharmacy standards, and supports efficient operational workflows across pharmacy departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage pharmacy supply chain activities including procurement, inventory control, and stock distribution.
• Ensure timely availability of medicines, surgical items, consumables, and pharmacy supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock availability across pharmacy locations and departments.
• Coordinate with procurement teams, vendors, warehouses, and pharmacy staff for smooth supply chain operations.
• Track stock movement, consumption patterns, and material utilization regularly.
• Conduct regular stock verification, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
• Monitor expiry management and ensure proper handling of near‑expiry and expired medicines.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, quality standards, and inventory control procedures.
• Manage vendor relationships, delivery schedules, and supplier performance evaluations.
• Prepare inventory reports, pharmacy MIS reports, and operational performance summaries for management.
• Support implementation of inventory optimization strategies to minimize shortages and wastage.
• Coordinate with finance and procurement teams for budgeting and cost management activities.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution practices for pharmaceutical products.
• Support logistics and distribution activities for pharmacy supplies across departments or branches.
• Maintain accurate documentation of stock transactions, purchase records, and inventory data.
