Job Title: Manager Customer Master Data(CMD)

Experience: 10+ Years

Location: Hyderabad, India - GCC

Working Hours: 5.00 PM to 2.00 AM IST - Work from Office

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Manager Customer Master Data (CMD) to lead Customer Master Data management, governance, data quality, analytics, and continuous improvement across the organization.

The role will ensure accurate, complete, consistent, and trusted customer data across CRM and enterprise platforms.

The position will work closely with Sales Operations, CRM, IT, Finance, and global business teams to strengthen data governance, improve data quality, enable customer analytics, and support data-driven business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Customer Master Data lifecycle including customer creation, modification, validation, enrichment, maintenance, and deactivation.
• Establish and maintain Customer Data Governance, standards, business rules, controls, ownership, and approval processes.
• Lead data quality, cleansing, deduplication, matching, enrichment, and standardization initiatives.
• Monitor data-quality metrics, identify root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop customer analytics, segmentation, dashboards, scorecards, and reports to provide actionable business insights.
• Partner with CRM, IT, Sales Operations, Finance, and global stakeholders on CRM enhancements, data migrations, integrations, UAT, and transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve CMD processes, SLAs, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop the CMD team while driving a strong culture of data ownership, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Customer Master Data / Master Data Management (MDM) / Data Governance.
• Strong understanding of the Customer Master Data lifecycle and data governance principles.
• Hands-on experience in data quality, cleansing, deduplication, matching, enrichment, and standardization.
• Experience working with CRM and enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in customer analytics, profiling, and segmentation.
• Working knowledge of Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar analytics and visualization tools.
• Understanding of data structures, validation rules, data-quality metrics, and data relationships.
• Experience in process improvement, workflow optimization, and automation.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and business partnering skills.
• Proven people management and leadership experience.

Preferred Experience

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Management, or a related field.
• MBA / postgraduate qualification in Business, Analytics, Operations, or related discipline is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Customer Master Data, MDM, Data Governance, CRM, Sales Operations, or Business Analytics.
• Experience working in a Global Capability Center or global organization supporting multiple regions/business units.
• Exposure to CRM/ERP implementations, data migrations, integrations, or MDM transformation programs.
• Experience managing large customer datasets and implementing data-quality improvement programs.
• Experience building data-quality dashboards and analytical solutions
