Job summary

Godrej Industries Group (GIG) is seeking an experienced Cost Management professional to oversee budget control, cost reporting, and contractor billing for large-scale real estate projects. You will coordinate with site teams and suppliers to ensure accuracy in cost tracking and payments.

Applicants should have 10+ years in material and vendor management, with strong SAP-MM knowledge and a background in civil engineering projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in material and vendor management
• Experience in real estate industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of SAP-MM and material specifications

Responsibilities

• Cost Management & Control: monitor budgets, track variations, maintain cost reports
• Billing & Certification: verify RA bills, ensure accuracy, certify payments
• Vendor & Contract Management: coordinate with contractors for submissions and clarifications
• MIS & Reporting: prepare cost dashboards, update management on cost vs budget
• Coordination & Compliance: liaise with site execution, design and procurement teams and ensure audits

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Management & Control
• Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets.
• Track cost variations and highlight deviations with corrective actions.
• Maintain cost reports, cash flow, and forecasts.
• Billing & Certification
• Verify contractor RA bills based on site measurements and BOQ.
• Ensure accuracy in quantity reconciliation and rate application.
• Process and certify bills in coordination with consultants and contractors.
• Quantity Surveying
• Conduct site measurements and prepare/check quantity take-offs.
• Validate BOQ quantities and identify variations.
• Maintain measurement records and documentation.
• Vendor & Contract Management
• Coordinate with contractors for billing submissions and clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and payment milestones.
• Support in rate analysis and variation order approvals.
• MIS & Reporting
• Prepare periodic MIS reports (cost vs budget, billing status, etc.).
• Track committed vs actual cost and update project dashboards.
• Provide inputs for management review meetings.
• Coordination & Compliance
• Coordinate with site execution, design, and procurement teams.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and financial processes.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and approvals.

Education

• Diploma/BE in Civil Engineering

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in material and vendor management, preferably in the real estate industry

Skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP-MM module
• In-depth understanding of product and material specifications
• Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Proactive approach to process improvements and learning
