Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited in Gujarat seeks a Manager Core Operations to oversee hardware and software maintenance of Core Nodes (MSS/MGW/GCS/GMGW) and related integration tasks.

Requires hands-on experience with Nokia/Ericsson core nodes, VOLTE, and understanding of 2G/3G/4G call flows. BE in Electronics & Communications, strong leadership, and willingness to go the extra mile are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CS Core nodes of Nokia or Ericsson (or both).
• Thorough knowledge of call flow across 2G/3G/4G and VOLTE.
• Nokia UDR command line experience.
• Knowledge of PACO and/or IP domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 100% uptime of Core Nodes and manage hardware spares.
• Perform periodic Core Nodes system and external backups.
• Configure and troubleshoot Core Nodes daily operations.
• Support POI, BSC, and RNC integration with Core Nodes.
• Assist in new Nodes integration, commissioning, and MOP integration.

Job Purpose

Person will be responsible for hardware and Software maintenance of all Core Nodes deployed at the location.

Node includes Core nodes like MSS/MGW/GCS/GMGW of Nokia and Ericsson. UDR HLR Set up of Nokia. Nokia VOLTE Set up.

• Maintaining 100% uptime of all Core Nodes.
• MSS and MGW Hardware n Spare Management.
• Periodic Core Nodes System and External Backup.
• To support/Undertake various measures to address Customer Complaints.
• POI, BSC, and RNC Integration with Core Nodes.
• Day to Day Configurations in Core Nodes.
• Support in maintaining Network Performance KPIs as per Threshold.
• New Nodes Integration and Commissioning Support.
• Support for MOP integration and integration related activities.
• Handling Care Cases and Operational Emergencies

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

Technical skill set

• Hands on Experience on CS Core nodes of Nokia or Ericsson or both
• Thorough knowledge of Call flow of 2G, 3G, 4G and VOLTE
• Nokia UDR command line hands on
• Nokia VOLTE nodes Hands on experience
• Knowledge of PACO and or IP domain will be added benefit.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• B.E in Electronics and Communication.
• Sound technical skill set/ knowledge of Core network
• Managing team. Willingness to Learn and Go extra miles to deliver
