Manager - Commercial Operations

• Compliance with all FMC, DOT, TSA, and Customs regulations (US and Foreign)
• - Develop and maintain Ocean/Air carrier relationships.
• - Maximize profits through negotiation and operation excellence on various freight modes
• - Development and maintenance of strong long-term customer and vendor relationships
• - AES administrator responsibilities
• - Management and Execution of all daily operations of General Cargo Freight/Projects
• - Management, training, mentoring, and motivation of assigned team members (new and existing)

Identify and groom staff with potential for succession planning and communicate with HR and management accordingly.

• - Responsible for team member performance management, training and development, performance appraisal and disciplinary action up to and including termination - as applicable.
• - Lead, direct and support daily operations as well as spearheading the development and rollout of continuous improvement initiatives
• - Direct, guide and support staff to delivery industry best practices
• - Facilitate the provision of operational supports including import and export documentation, synchronization of origin/destination zone transport, customs formalities, and the overall scope of the door-to-door trade
• - Ensure effective and timely delivery of customer commitments by the organization

• - Constantly monitor cost control efforts within the department to achieve maximum profitability and timely issue of customer invoices
