Job summary

Tata Communications Limited in Maharashtra seeks a senior VoIP SME with ISP/telecom network expertise to design, implement and manage end-to-end VoIP services for enterprise customers, including SIP/TDM, SIP trunks, and interconnects.

The role involves configuring Juniper PE-to-CE connectivity, provisioning Nokia switches, deploying SBCs, and performing validations and RCA reports, with on-site work and aligned shift patterns as required.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, CS, Telecom or related field.
• 10+ years experience in a Tier 1/2 telco provider/ISP in Fixed Voice.
• Certifications: CCNP Collaboration, Juniper JNCIP-SP, Nokia NRS, or Ribbon SBC.
• Expertise in VoIP and SIP call-flow engineering (SIP, VoIP, ISDN, PSTN).
• Strong IP networking knowledge: TCP/IP, routing, QoS, VLANs.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, activate and support end-to-end VoIP services (SIP & TDM) across core voice networks and interconnect platforms.
• Configure voice routing, dial plans, numbering structures and call flows.
• Configure and manage SIP trunks and interconnects.
• Provision services across access, aggregation (Carrier Ethernet) and core network elements.
• Configure and troubleshoot Juniper PE-to-Customer CE connectivity for VoIP/data (BGP/OSPF, NAT, QoS).
• Execute service activation, migration and cutover activities with minimal customer impact.
• Perform pre- and post-change validations, including test calls and service acceptance testing.
• Support planned network changes and maintenance windows; adhere to change management.
• Maintain accurate documentation and as-built records; prepare RCA reports.

We are looking for a VoIP SME with ISP/Telecom network expertise to design, implement and manage end to end VoIP services for enterprise customers. This role involves configuring Juniper PE‑to‑CE connectivity, optimizing SIP call flows, provisioning Nokia switches and deploying SBC configuration

• This is a permanent work from office role and there is no work from home option available.
• Shift timings will follow the Australian time zone starting at 2:00 AM/ 3:00 AM (IST) based on business requirements. Week offs will be rotational.
• Public and festive holidays will follow the Australian calendar.
• Design, provision, activate and support end‑to‑end VoIP services (SIP & TDM) across core voice networks and interconnect platforms.
• Configure and validate voice routing, dial plans, numbering structures and call flows.
• Configure and manage SIP trunks and interconnects.
• Provision services across access, aggregation (Carrier Ethernet) and core network elements.
• Configure customer-facing CPEs and network devices as required.
• Configure and troubleshoot Juniper PE-to-Customer CE connectivity for VoIP/data, including BGP/OSPF, static routes, NAT and QoS.
• Execute service activation, migration and cutover activities with minimal customer impact.
• Perform pre‑and post‑change validations, including test calls and service acceptance testing.
• Support planned network changes and maintenance windows (day/night).
• Adhere to change management processes and quality gates.
• Maintain accurate documentation, configurations and as-built records.
• Perform Level 2 troubleshooting and prepare RCA reports for quality related issues.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 telecommunication provider/ISP within the Fixed Voice domain.
• Mandatory to hold one of certifications: Cisco- CCNP Collaboration, Juniper JNCIP-SP, Nokia NRS or Ribbon SBC (vendor specific certifications).
• Expertise in VoIP and SIP call‑flow engineering, including SIP, VoIP, ISDN, and PSTN.
• Strong understanding of IP networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, QoS, and VLANs.
• Vendor specific expertise level skills: Juniper, SIP, Nokia & Ribbon SBC.
• Optional vendor skills: Oracle SBC, C20 Softswitch, Nortel CS2K, and Alcatel‑Lucent Voice Platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders.
• High resilience, strong problem‑solving ability, and a customer‑first mindset.
