Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited, formerly Idea Cellular Limited, is seeking a BSS Field Operation professional based in Indore. The role is M1 level within Technology, focusing on BSS operations and maintenance, with 5–7 years of telecom experience.

Candidates should hold BE in Electronics & Communications and have hands-on experience with Ericsson equipment, MW links, and fault management. The position requires 24x7 availability for network uptime and support.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Experience with BSS O&M is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Ericsson equipment and MW alarms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24x7 operations and maintenance of transmission and BTS equipment (LTE, WCDMA, GSM).
• Perform preventive maintenance of BSS network elements (BTS and Microwave).
• Maintain network uptime per SLA definitions.
• Rectify BTS/MW alarms within SLA.
• Coordinate with IP vendors for Infra uptime and signoff.
• Manage cluster inventory of BSS nodes.
• Collaborate with project/optimization teams for rollouts and KPI improvements.
• Handle integration, commissioning and troubleshooting (BTS-RBS2000, RBS6000, MW).

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
