Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited in India seeks a BSS Field Operation professional (M1) in the Technology function to handle operations and maintenance of BSS equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, manage alarms, coordinate with IP vendors, and support rollout efforts to improve KPIs.

Applicants should have BE in Electronics and Communication and 5-7 years of experience in telecom operations.

• BE in Electronics and Communication (Graduation)
• 5-7 years of work experience in BSS/telecom operations

Responsibilities

• Operations & maintenance of transmission and BTS equipment 24x7.
• Preventive maintenance of BSS Network Elements (BTS & Microwave).
• Maintain network uptime per defined SLA.
• Rectification of alarms within SLA.
• Coordinate with IP vendors for Infra uptime and signoff.
• Manage cluster Inventory of BSS nodes.
• Coordinate with project and optimization teams for rollout and KPI improvement.
• Integration, commissioning and troubleshooting BTS-RBS2000 and RBS6000 and MW.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Responsible for Operations & maintenance of transmission and BTS (LTE, WCDM, GSM) equipment 24X7.
• Preventive Maintenance of BSS Network Elements (BTS & Microwave).
• Maintain network uptime as per defined SLA.
• Rectification of alarms (BTS/MW) within defined SLA.
• Coordination with IP vendors for Infra uptime and signoff.
• Manage cluster Inventory of BSS nodes.
• Coordinate with project and optimization teams for new rollout and network KPI improvement.
• Integration , Commissioning and, troubleshooting(BTS-RBS2000 and RBS6000 and MW ( Ericsson Traffic Node & Huawei RTN)

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

Good communication and coordination skills

Good Knowledge Ericsson equipment, Baseband (5216, 6630) and Ericsson MW, VSWR and alarm handling and fault Rectification.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Essential : Graduation – BE (Electronics and communication)
• work ex: 5 - 7 years
