Job summary

ZEISS Group in India seeks an experienced HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems across its facilities. The role requires diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, performing testing and commissioning, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with contractors and document maintenance activities. ITIs in HVAC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4–5 years in a process-driven manufacturing setting are preferred.

Qualifications

• ITI in HVAC systems or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4-5 years of experience in process-driven manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams and schematics.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to work after hours, weekends and on public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems and equipment such as AHUs, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers and brine chillers.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Leak testing, vacuumising, brazing, gas charging and commissioning of AC units.
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems and performing warranty services.
• Balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Reading blueprints and technical diagrams and schematics.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Keeping daily logs and records of maintenance functions.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborating with team members and coordinating with multiple contractors on site.

Main Accountabilities

• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.

• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
