Job summary

ZEISS Group in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee production and utility equipment maintenance. You will diagnose faults, lead repairs, and ensure safety compliance while updating documentation.

We expect 8–10 years hands-on experience, a BE or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and strong skills in Excel/PowerPoint and PLC troubleshooting. Knowledge of ISO 14000/18001 and Six Sigma is valued.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years hands-on maintenance experience in production and utilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ISO 14000, ISO 18001 and EMS audits.
• Knowledge of MTTR, MTBF and KPI adherence.
• Able to read electrical circuit diagrams and problem-solve using PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, lead repair efforts to minimize downtime and conduct root cause analysis.
• Provide technical expertise, manage contractor support, ensure safety compliance, and update maintenance documentation.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, SLDs and schematics; troubleshoot PLC programs.
