Job summary

ZEISS in Devanahalli is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (HVAC) to install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems across our manufacturing facilities. You will handle Air Handling Units, humidifiers, cooling towers and related equipment, ensuring reliability and performance.

Candidates should have 4–5 years of process-driven manufacturing experience, ITI HVAC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and strong skills reading blueprints, diagnosing faults, and

• Proven experience as HVAC mechanic and ability to read blueprints/diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
• Test for leaks, vacuum, brazing and commissioning of AC units.
• Maintain logs and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors and cross-functional teams on site.

Immediate hiring for Maintenance Technician (HVAC) - Devanahalli location.

Working days : 6 days.

Qualification : ITI HVAC systems/ Diploma Mechanical Engineering.

Job purpose :

Work for Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipments like Air Handling Units, humidifiers, De Humidifiers, Cooling towers, Brine chillers, Scrubbers, cooling towers etc.

Main Accountabilities :

• Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment like Air Handling Units, humidifiers, De Humidifiers, Cooling towers, Brine chillers etc
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Leak testing, Vacuumizing, Brazing, Gas charging and commissioning of the AC unit. .
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams and schematics.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.
• Having experience of working with multiple contractors at site.
• Collaborate with other team members for any trouble shooting during shifts.

Requirements:

• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
• Proven experience as a HVAC mechanic.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams and schematics
• Highly observant and analytical skills
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
