Job summary

Schaeffler India Ltd. invites applications for a Technician role based in Hosur, Karnataka. The incumbent will handle regular troubleshooting of production shop machines and execute planned maintenance to keep lines running efficiently.

Candidates should have electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications with 5–8 years of maintenance experience, and be ready to work with CNC machines and heavy equipment across multiple shops.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical engineering degree required.
• 5–8 years of experience in maintenance.
• Experience with CNC and heavy machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machines across all production shops.
• Execute day-to-day planned and preventive maintenance.
• Achieve maintenance targets year over year.
• Improve maintenance process KPIs and reduce breakdowns.
• Handle CNC machines and hydraulic presses.

Your Key Responsibilities

• To handle regular troubleshooting of machines of all production shops.
• To execute day today planned and preventive maintenance activities.
• To achieve global maintenance targets of Schaeffler year on year
• Support team to reduce Frequent and repeat Breakdowns in shift
• Improve Process KPI's of maintenance department.
• Machine retrofit Based on QCD
• Handling CNC Machines(Machining centers, turning centers and VTL)
• Handling Assembly and Press shop hydraulic presses of 70 to 1500 ton
• Executing troubleshooting and planned maintenance activities
• Analyzing and working out action plans for breakdown and PM activities.
• Preventive maintenance 100% execution in all shops
• Handling gas and electrically heated, Sealed quench furnaces ,shot peening, inductionhardening machines and phosphating plant
