Job summary

QH Talbros Limited in Gurgaon is seeking an Engineer/Sr. Engineer - Mechanical Maintenance with 4–7 years of core experience in automotive maintenance. You will lead shift maintenance for CNC, hydraulic/pneumatic presses, and SPMs, driving uptime and adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

The role requires reading mechanical drawings and schematics, coordinating with production, and applying IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS/ISO 45001 guidelines on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of core mechanical maintenance experience in automotive sector.
• Strong reading of mechanical drawings and circuit schematics.
• Experience with CNC turning/VMC centers and SPMs.
• Knowledge of IATF-16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Own shift maintenance of CNCs, presses, and SPMs to maximize uptime.
• Lead preventive and breakdown maintenance and rapid response on the shop floor.
• Diagnose failures and perform mechanical adjustments to restore production.
• Ensure compliance with IATF-16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 safety protocols.

Position: Engineer/Sr. Engineer - Mechanical Maintenance

Education

Bachelor degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Maintenance Engineering.

Total Experience

4 to 7 years of core mechanical maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting experience strictly within the Automotive sector.

Behavioral Competencies

Responsibilities / Skill & Competency Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Shift Maintenance Ownership: Take absolute responsibility for all mechanical maintenance activities during the shift, maximizing machine uptime for CNC machines, VMC systems, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Presses, Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), and laboratory testing equipment.
• Hands-on Breakdown & Execution: Execute and monitor Preventive and Predictive Maintenance tasks scheduled for the shift; lead rapid-response Breakdown Maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical emergencies on the shop floor immediately.
• Real-time Failure Diagnosis: Analyze active equipment failures on the floor, determine the immediate physical cause, and perform the necessary mechanical adjustments or overhauls to restore production safely.
• On-Floor Standards Compliance: Ensure all maintenance tasks executed during the shift strictly follow IATF-16949:2016 quality guidelines, ISO 14001 environmental controls, and OHSAS-18001 / ISO 45001 safety protocols.

• Production Alignment: Work closely with the shift production supervisor to ensure tool paths, turning centers, and custom SPM parameters are mechanically aligned to maintain micron-level part tolerances.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong ability to read complex mechanical assembly drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic circuit schematics, and engineering blueprints under pressure.
• Equipment Expertise: Direct, hands-on exposure to maintaining Hydraulic & Pneumatic Presses, CNC Turning/VMC Centers, and customized Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
