Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to oversee SMT line equipment and drive preventative maintenance initiatives. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, perform root-cause analyses, and optimize MTBF/MTTR to ensure high uptime and reliability across complex systems.

The role requires a Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with 7–12 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, and the ability to work flexible shifts at our Pune, India site.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics / Electrical Engineering.
• 7 to 12 years of relevant maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Excellent work ethic and time management to complete jobs efficiently.
• Maintain and improve MTBF and MTTR.
• Coordinate with equipment technicians to enhance system integration.
• Respond to customer repair requests with root cause analysis.
• Preventative/predictive maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Disassemble malfunctioning equipment and perform repairs with specialized tools.
• Troubleshooting in a complex environment and cost control.
• Familiarity with TPM Autonomous Maintenance activities.
• Install new equipment and perform initial testing and optimization.

• Familiarity with TPM Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities.
• Install new equipment according to customer requirements and perform initial testing and optimization procedures to ensure correct and efficient operation.
• Required Knowledge: - ASM Pick & place, head maintenance, Feeder maintenance, SPI Maintenance, Reflow process & it's maintenance, YJ Link Conveyor, laser marking, AOI, Single pin insertion, Hot functional test & deplaning. Able to maintain the High MTBF & Less MTTR Target.
• Responsible for processing maintenance of SMT line, Operation and Preventive Maintenance of SMT related machines. Planning predictive & preventive maintenance schedules for various equipment to increase Machine uptime & equipment reliability.
