Job summary

Schaeffler India Ltd. in Tamil Nadu, Krishnagiri district, seeks a Maintenance Technician to manage machine upkeep across production shops, perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.

Candidates should have an electrical or mechanical engineering degree (DEEE/BE Electrical or DME Mechanical) and 5–8 years of maintenance experience; familiarity with CNC machines and hydraulic presses is a plus. This full-time role offers opportunities across global operations.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical engineering degree (DEEE/BE Electrical or DME Mechanical)
• Experience: 5-8 years in maintenance or related roles
• Knowledge of CNC machines and hydraulic presses is a plus

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machines across all production shops.
• Execute day-to-day planned and preventive maintenance activities.
• Achieve global maintenance targets year on year.
• Support team to reduce frequent and repeat breakdowns in shift.
• Improve process KPIs of maintenance department.
• Machine retrofit based on QCD.
• Handle CNC machines (machining centers, turning centers and VTL).
• Handle assembly and press shop hydraulic presses (70 to 1500 ton).
• Execute troubleshooting and planned maintenance activities.
• Analyze breakdowns and define corrective actions.
• Ensure 100% preventive maintenance execution in all shops.
• Handle gas and electrically heated furnaces, shot peening, induction hardening, phosphating plant

• To handle regular troubleshooting of machines of all production shops.
• To execute day today planned and preventive maintenance activities.
• To achieve global maintenance targets of Schaeffler year on year
• Support team to reduce Frequent and repeat Breakdowns in shift
• Improve Process KPI's of maintenance department.
• Machine retrofit Based on QCD
• Handling CNC Machines(Machining centers, turning centers and VTL)
• Handling Assembly and Press shop hydraulic presses of 70 to 1500 ton

• Analyzing and working out action plans for breakdown and PM activities.
