Job summary

Yash Group of Industries invites a Maintenance Store Assistant to manage day-to-day activities of the maintenance stores within our foundry facilities. The role requires handling spares, stock records, and coordination with maintenance teams.

You will maintain FIFO storage, conduct periodic stock verification, and prepare stock reports in ERP/Excel. ITI/Diploma in mechanical/electrical stores management is preferred; 0-3 years' experience in a similar setting is ideal.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Stores Management.
• 0-3 years in maintenance stores or engineering stores within foundry.
• Basic computer skills; working knowledge of ERP/SAP.

MAINTENANCE STORE ASSISTANT

Foundry Manufacturing Industry

Position: Maintenance Store Assistant

Department: Maintenance / Stores

Experience: 0-3 Years in Maintenance Stores / Engineering Stores / Foundry Industry

Qualification: ITI / Diploma - Mechanical / Electrical / Stores Management

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Stores.


• Maintain proper records of spare parts, consumables, tools and maintenance materials.


• Handle receipt, issue and return of maintenance spares and materials.


• Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels and identify critical / fast-moving spares.


• Ensure timely availability of spares for Furnace, Moulding, Core Shop, Sand Plant, Shot Blast, Cranes, Compressors, Pumps and other foundry equipment.


• Maintain proper bin identification, material coding and location records.


• Coordinate with the Maintenance Team for spare requirements and urgent breakdown materials.


• Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase/requisition requests for required items.


• Maintain FIFO / proper storage practices wherever applicable.


• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile stock differences.


• Maintain records in ERP / Excel and prepare regular stock reports.


• Control obsolete, surplus and non-moving maintenance spares.


• Ensure proper 5S, housekeeping and safety in the maintenance store.


• Support preventive maintenance planning by ensuring availability of required spares.


• Coordinate with Purchase, Maintenance, Production and Accounts departments.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance spares.


• Knowledge of bearings, belts, chains, couplings, fasteners, lubricants, electrical items, welding consumables and hand tools.


• Good knowledge of inventory and stock control.


• Basic computer skills, especially MS Excel / ERP / SAP.


• Good communication and coordination skills.


• Ability to work under pressure during breakdown and emergency maintenance requirements.


• Knowledge of 5S and safety practices.
