Job summary

Concepts Hygiene seeks an Assistant Manager Maintenance to ensure smooth operation of production and utility equipment in a hygiene products facility. You will drive preventive maintenance, manage breakdowns, and support continuous production with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires leading a maintenance team, coordinating with production, and implementing TPM/Kaizen practices to reduce downtime and costs. Strong GMP/EHS awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance of packaging/processing equipment.
• Experience in GMP environments preferred.
• Ability to lead and coordinate with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of filling, labeling, capping, mixing, packaging lines and utilities.
• Coordinate with production for uninterrupted operations and quick response to issues.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance; attend breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Lead TPM/Kaizen initiatives and RCA activities.
• Control spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement.
• Maintain SOPs, logs, and ensure GMP/EHS compliance.
• Supervise technicians and contractors; train staff on SOPs and safety.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Manager Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation, preventive maintenance, and breakdown management of all production and utility equipment in the hygiene products manufacturing facility. The role focuses on maximizing machine uptime, improving operational efficiency, maintaining safety standards, and supporting continuous production activities.

1. Equipment & Utility Management

• Maintain and monitor production machinery including filling, labeling, capping, mixing, packaging, and utility systems.
• Manage utilities such as compressors, air systems, DG sets, water systems, and electrical panels.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of critical equipment.

2. Production Support

• Coordinate with production teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Ensure quick response to maintenance requirements during production shifts.
• Support line setup, machine changeovers, and startup activities.

3. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for production and utility equipment.
• Attend machine breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain maintenance history records and machine logs.

4. Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for reducing machine downtime and maintenance costs.
• Implement TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation.

5. Spare Parts & Inventory Control

• Monitor spare parts inventory and raise purchase requisitions.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of critical spares.
• Control maintenance expenses and optimize inventory.

6. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain maintenance SOPs, checklists, and equipment records.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, 5S, EHS, and company policies.
• Support internal and external audits.

7. Team Management

• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Allocate work and monitor daily maintenance activities.

Train maintenance staff on SOPs, safety, and troubleshooting.
