Job summary

Poshs Metal Industries in Maharashtra, India, is seeking to strengthen its quality and operations leadership by appointing a department head responsible for plant equipment maintenance coordination, SOPs, QMS implementation, budgeting, and KPI-driven performance monitoring.

The role involves defining the department structure, allocating duties, ensuring safety systems, conducting regular reviews, and driving cost control, productivity, and waste reduction across all resources.

Responsibilities

• Confirmation of the Plant Equipment to be maintained.
• Define the structure of the Dept
• Address the requirement of the skilled and unskilled resources required.
• Define the SOPs applicable.
• Understanding of the processes of the Department.
• Implementation the QMS as planned by the Top Management.
• Preparation of the Budget required.
• Find out the Potential Risk factors within his dept.
• Define the targets at different levels within the dept for the KPI provided.
• Daily-management/trend monitoring/data analysis.
• CAPA vis-s-a-vis customer complaints internal and external.
• Costs monitoring and reduction practices.
• Increasing productivity and efficiency of all resources/reduce wastages.
• Update,upkeep and implementation of statutory and QMS documents .
• Regular reporting to concern HODs .
• Conducting regular departmental meetings and encouraging initiatives .
• Facilitating quality improvement forums.
• Safety systems,implementation and improvements.
• Identifying training needs of departmental employees and ensuring effectiveness.
• Allocating duties/responsibilities to departmental personnel.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used on the shop floor
• Knowledge of line operation.
• Understanding of QMS (Quality Management System) requirements and practices
