Job summary

Advanced Enzyme Technologies in Thane, Maharashtra, seeks an Equipment Maintenance Engineer to manage the upkeep of laboratory instruments and utilities. You will handle installations, calibrations, and performance qualifications of essential lab gear, ensuring reliable operation for microbiology, proteomics, and analytical labs.

Responsibilities include planning AMC schedules, root-cause analyses, and coordinating with vendors for DG/UPS/HVAC systems, with a focus on safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with maintenance of lab equipment and utilities.
• Experience with Microbiology/bioprocess lab setups is a plus.
• Strong ability to plan predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with calibration and qualification of lab instruments.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of laboratory equipment and utilities.
• Plan predictive, AMC and breakdown maintenance jobs and root cause analysis.
• Maintain AMC data sheets and follow up with vendors for renewals.
• Perform onsite safety checks of machinery and utilities.
• Coordinate with vendors for AMC and maintenance of DG, UPS, Fire Alarm, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Onsite installation, Operation, and Performance Qualification of lab equipment (Autoclave, Incubator, water bath, etc.).
• Onsite validation and calibration of laboratory instruments.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Repairing of laboratories equipment and utilities.
• Scheduling and planning predictive, AMC and breakdown maintenance jobs and root cause analysis.
• Maintain AMC data sheet, follow up with vendor regarding renewal AMC of equipment.
• Perform Onsite Safety Checks of machinery and utilities.
• Co ordinate with venor for AMC & Maintenance of DG , UPS system, FIRE Alarm system, HVAC system, Electric system.
• Onsite Installation, Operational, Performance Qualification of laboratories equipments. (Autoclave, Incubator, water bath, Chiller, Oven, Steam pot, Media Preparator etc)
• Onsite Validation & calibration of laboratories instruments.
• Generates the calibration certificates & Temperature mapping document of Instrument.
• Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of Instruments.
• Replacing faulty equipment's for speedy operation/combined operation, Condition Monitoring and updating documents with regard to the same.

Preferred candidate profile

• Performance Qualification of laboratories equipments. (Autoclave, Incubator, water bath, Chiller, Oven, Steam pot, MediaPrepartor etc)
• Having experience in maintaining equipment used in Microbiology, proteomics ,probiotics, biocatalyst & Analytical LABs.
• Provide technical support to employees on operational or maintenance aspects of Instruments.
• Responsible to maintain electromechanical setup like DG , UPS , Stabiliser, Fire Alram etc .
• Further to maintain their AMC trackers and services
• Knowledge about new LAB setup / Shifting will be an added advantage.

1 Year to 2 Years with B.E Instrumentation or Diploma in Instrumentation
