Qualifications

• B.Tech or equivalent in Electrical Engineering required.

• Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance, wiring, PLCs, sensors, and automation.

Job description

Role Purpose: -

The Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Executive will be responsible for the overall plant Maintenance activities of the factory, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations of all bread manufacturing machinery, utilities, and electrical systems. The role requires expertise in preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining efficiency of bakery production equipment.

Key Accountabilities

1. Maintenance & Operations

• Oversee and execute all maintenance activities across the factory premises.
• Ensure smooth functioning of all electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment used in bread manufacturing.
• Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of all machinery and utilities.
• Attend and resolve breakdowns with minimum downtime to ensure uninterrupted production.

2. Machinery Maintenance (Bread Manufacturing Equipment)

• Maintain and troubleshoot bakery and bread manufacturing machinery including:
• Dough mixers
• Dough divider and rounder machines
• Proofers / Fermentation chambers
• Bread moulders
• Tunnel / Rotary ovens
• Cooling conveyors
• Slicing and packaging machines
• Compressors, air systems, and utility equipment
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical panels, PLC systems, motors, drives, sensors, control panels, and automation systems associated with bakery machinery.

3. Preventive Maintenance

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all factory electrical equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues to avoid breakdowns.
• Maintain proper maintenance records, checklists, and electrical logs.

4. Troubleshooting & Breakdown Handling

• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, wiring issues, panel failures, motor breakdowns, and machine stoppages.
• Ensure quick response and resolution during emergency breakdowns.

5. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and factory compliance requirements.
• Monitor electrical load, power consumption, and equipment efficiency.
• Ensure proper maintenance of electrical tools and safety equipment.

6. Team Coordination

• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for smooth functioning of manufacturing operations.
• Guide junior electricians and technicians during maintenance activities.

Essential Qualifications

• B.Tech /B.E in Electrical Engineering or equivalent electrical trade certification.

Required Experiences

• Minimum 3-6 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment, preferably in bread, bakery, FMCG, or food processing industries.
• Strong hands‑on experience in bread manufacturing machinery and bakery equipment maintenance.
• Good knowledge of: Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance, Electrical panels, motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and automation systems,Industrial wiring and troubleshooting, Utility equipment maintenance, Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent machine breakdowns effectively.
