Job summary

Chemspec Chemicals is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to manage preventive and breakdown maintenance across our API/chemical plant at Taloja, Navi Mumbai. You will lead a team of technicians, oversee utility maintenance, and ensure strict adherence to cGMP documentation and safety practices.

The ideal candidate has BE (Mechanical) with 4–7 years of relevant experience, strong trouble-shooting skills, and excellent coordination with vendors and contractors to keep plant operations

Qualifications

• BE (Mechanical) with 4–7 years of experience in maintenance of API/chemical plants and utilities.
• Experience with cGMP documentation and audits relevant to plant maintenance.
• Strong leadership and vendor coordination abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and risk assessments in chemical plants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance in the plant.
• Periodic maintenance of utilities in the plant.
• Lead a team of technicians for plant maintenance activities.
• Attend to trouble shooting in reactors, HVAC, and utilities.

Job location: Taloja, Navi Mumbai

Job Description

• Carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance in plant.
• Periodical Maintenance of utilities in plant.
• Leading a team of technicians for effective plant maintenance activities.
• Attending to trouble shooting in plant (reactors, HVAC, utilities)
• Documentation related to all plant maintenance activities as per cGMP guidelines.
• Safety compliance and documentation (logs, permits, validation support).
• Coordinating with vendors and contractors.
• Conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and initiating continuous improvements in plant.
• Ensuing installations of mechanical equipment in plant by following cGMP practices.
• Maintaining preventive maintenance data and records
• Ensuring availability of critical spares at all times and tracking its usage in plant.
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining all necessary documents for external and internal audits.
• Enforcing safe work practices in plant and in utility maintenance
• Associating in project execution and plant upgradation activities of plant.
• Maintenance budgeting, quotation comparison, negotiation, approvals.
• All other works assigned from time to time.
